Inverting Colonial Archival Structures: Increasing Discovery and Access for Indigenous Communities through SNAC (Indigenize SNAC) aims to test discovery and access of archival records for indigenous communities through the web platform Social Networks for Archival Contexts (SNAC).
The project launched in 2022 with financial support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant RE-252311-OLS-22 (August 1, 2022 – April 9, 2025, $496,070). This project continued with a $3.63M Mellon Foundation grant. (New project link)
