William (Bill) Farmer

Bill has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and data science, specializing in the analysis and management of large-scale data sets. He is a seasoned educator, technical leader, and project manager with a strong track record of driving innovation and guiding teams to success. His primary research and professional interests include knowledge discovery in massive data sets and developing just-in-time systems to address the challenges of big data particularly in the realm of cybersecurity.
In addition to his professional work, Bill enjoys exploring Internet of Things (IoT) technologies as a hobby. He frequently tinkers with devices like Raspberry Pi and Arduino to create innovative solutions and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College.
