Project Requirements
Superior projects and datasets are the key to student success in the Info Challenges. If you have an idea, but are not sure how to formulate a project, let us know, we can help! An Information Challenge Initiative (ICI) team member will be assigned to work with you to formulate your ideas into an outstanding project that will help the students and your organization!
- Challenge projects and datasets can be from any discipline.
- Projects must be designed for a week’s work for the student teams. An ICI team member will work with you to find the right size project.
- Projects must include a project concept statement or problem statement to help the student teams understand the goal of the project. An ICI team member will help you formulate the statement based on the project goals.
- All datasets must be complete and cleaned. An ICI team member will work with you to verify that the datasets are ready for Info Challenge.
Partner Requirements
- Each organization supplying a challenge project will need to have a Challenge Partner attend Kick-off Day on March 1, 2025 from 10am – 3pm.
-
- A Challenge Partner is someone from your organization that has in depth knowledge of the project and dataset being provided.
- The Challenge Partner will need to give a Challenge Orientation Talk to review the project, dataset, and problem statement for the student teams on March 1 at 10:30am.
- The Challenge Partner will need to be available for 4 hours (virtual or in-person times set by the challenge partner) during the week of Info Challenge for student team questions.
