Sigfried Gold is a clinical research informaticist specializing in developing visual analytics tools to improve the productivity and quality of in silico studies of healthcare data, particularly around the use of standardized medical terminologies and common data models in distributed research networks. Sigfried consults as an informaticist, visualization designer and has worked as a software developer for 32 years. She is an active contributor to open science and open-source projects, including OHDSI, MCBK, and supergroup.js. In addition, she focuses on user interface and visualization design for research using patient medical data. Sigfried is currently a Ph.D. student with the UMD College of Information Studies and HCIL, advised by Wayne Lutters.
