Establishing and Testing Best Practices in the Digital Curation of Collections at the National Agricultural Library

The project requires extensive usability and user testing which is best suited to an academic environment. Rigorous testing and evaluation methods will be applied based on best practices in the field of information studies/science. At this time ARS does not have suitably trained information professionals to conduct the studies. The National Agricultural Library’s mission is to acquire, organize, provide access to, and preserve the literature of agriculture and its data for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as the nation. This project helps to research best practices in the creation and curation of digital collections.
