A team from the University of Maryland (UMD) Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) is researching how technology can be used for active engagement for people with dementia. The team is exploring different approaches because, “understanding these different perspectives is important for technology designers.”
The team, “join[s] dementia advocates in urging researchers towards perspectives that prioritize dignity and respect and attributing significance to the actions of people with dementia.”
