Amanda’s dissertation topic focuses on museum databases and how software companies have developed these information infrastructures. Within the iSchool, she is a part of the Recovery and Reuse of Archival Data Lab, which is within the Center for Archival Futures. Amanda holds an MA in anthropology with a concentration in museum studies from the University of British Columbia, and a BA in anthropology/BA in French literature from Loyola University Chicago. From 2019-2020, worked as an Anne Ray Intern at the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe, NM, and in 2019, Amanda completed a Graduate Fellowship at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History.
