Allan Oliveros brought his experience working with educators and students from around the globe into his current role as IT Coordinator for the iSchool. Before arriving at the iSchool in 2015, Allan held an IT support role at a school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where he spent three years after earning his undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering at De La Salle University-Manila. Allan has been instrumental in the implementation and maintenance of IT-related equipment within the iSchool, managing IT a group of student assistants, and contributing to the Facilities team projects. Currently he is focused on providing tech support to faculty and staff as many have moved to a completely remote set-up amidst the COVID-19 pandemic to make sure they are able to use tech equipment just as effectively as they would on campus. Allan is continuously striving to improve the iSchool’s systems and developing better ways to provide IT support as the college’s diverse and inclusive community grows and remote work becomes the new normal. In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, watching sports, playing basketball and billiards, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking.
