Virtual Panel Discussion: Confidence in Institutions in a Time of Mistrust
Event Start Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2020 - 12:00 pm
Event End Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2020 - 1:30 pm
In a time of crisis, people look to the government and other sources of leadership for accurate information and guidance. Confidence with the federal government, state governments, and news media outlets is now at an all-time low. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic is a moment in history when people have acutely felt this lack of confidence. If we lose faith in our institutions and government, who can we trust? What can be done to restore that trust?
Join members of our University of Maryland faculty for a thought-provoking discussion on this erosion of trust as it relates to organizations, leadership, and information in a time of unprecedented social and economic challenges. Registration is free.
