Event Start Date: Monday, October 26, 2020 - 9:00 am

Event End Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - 5:00 pm

ASSETS 2020, the 22nd International ACM SIGACCESS Conference on Computers and Accessibility, will take place virtually October 26 – 28, 2020.

The ASSETS conference is the premier forum for presenting research on the design, evaluation, use, and education related to computing for people with disabilities and older adults. We invite high-quality original submissions on topics relevant to computing and accessibility.

ASSETS has expanded its scope to include original high-quality research on topics related to education of computing accessibility.

The 2020 ACM SIGACCESS Award for Outstanding Contributions to Computing and Accessibility will be presented at this event to Dr. Jonathan Lazar, professor at the UMD College of Information Studies (iSchool). It is the highest award given by ACM SIGACCESS (Special Interest Groups on Accessible Computing), given once every two years.

Dr. Lazar will also deliver a keynote speech at the event.

Special thanks to Dr. Hernisa Kacorri, assistant professor at the UMD iSchool, for serving as the event Treasurer and Registration Chair.
