BIO
Hi, I’m Riley! (he/they)
I study the politics of technology – I’m interested in how people learn to trust tech, when/how they choose to refuse it, and the role information technology plays in forming a person’s political worldview.
My current projects include an exploration of how artists make sense of generative AI, a test of the potential for RAG-based LLM chatbots to increase trust in elections, an investigation into how people find local health information on social media, and an examination of what exactly LLMs do when asked to summarize something.
Outside of my work, I’m an artist and a cook! I love all things pen and paper, ink, markers, and graffiti. In my free time, you can usually find me baking bread and cookies.
