Data and Cloud Computing Society (DCCS)
DCCS is organized to create a cloud computing community within the University of Maryland. The goal of DCCS is to share and develop knowledge and skills in cloud computing and data analytics through discussions and projects. For more information about the DCCS
iDiversity
iDiversity is open to all graduate students in the INFO College. Our mission is to promote awareness of inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility within the information professions. This takes the form of workshops, reading groups, community projects, and fundraisers/drives. Students interested in social justice and activism are encouraged to join us even if you are an online student and/or can’t make our in-person meetings. Information Science Female Identifying (Infosci FI)

InfoSci FI aims to develop a professional presence, provide volunteer experiences, and create a positive environment for female-identifying students pursuing a career in technology. InfoSci FI will hold monthly meetings consisting of professor panels, networking events, and advising support.

INFO College Graduate Student of Color Collective (iSG-SOCC)
The INFO College Graduate Student of Color Collective (iSG-SOCC) is a student-led and student-focused group at the UMD INFO College (aka UMD INFO College) that aims to provide a supportive space for graduate students of color at the INFO College. The goal is to build a welcoming collective and learning environment for students of color interested in cultivating advocacy, visibility, and community. All self-identified graduate students of color are welcome to complete this Google interest form so we can begin to discuss how we can collaboratively create a sustainable space for the fall semester and beyond.
Ladies in Tech at Shady Grove Student Organization
The Ladies in Tech at Shady Grove purpose/mission statement: To create a collaborative and communicative environment for women interested in computational and engineering fields such as Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Biotechnology. Through working on projects, L.i.T Club will introduce and raise skills that will help members jump-start their careers in the tech industry.
Master of Information Management Student Association (MIMSA)

Student Archivists at Maryland (SAM)
The student chapter of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) is open to all students currently enrolled at the University of Maryland. The membership consists primarily of students in the College of Information, from the Archives and the HiLS programs (History and Library Science joint-masters program). SAM hosts a number of events each year, including tours of area archives and manuscript collections, as well as lectures by invited speakers on topics of interest. SAM is established for the expressed purpose of developing archival skills, as well as an awareness of social responsibilities to encourage students to participate in archival affairs. UXTerps
UXTerps aims to help students develop and strengthen the required skills to become competent UX practitioners! With the support of our advisors, UXTerps brings together a diverse design community comprised of University of Maryland students from all backgrounds and courses of study who share a passion for user experience (UX). Our mission is to support the out-of-class learning of user experience design and research and to provide peer mentorship to any students interested in UX-related fields.
