Meet the new iSchool team members.
Welcome to Sarah Gilbert, who is working as a postdoctoral fellow. Sarah Gilbert’s research explores users’ experiences across platforms and communities, and she is particularly interested in the effects of technical affordances and social norms on participation in these spaces. Her dissertation work included studies of both Twitter and Reddit communities. Sarah is excited to explore what and how sociotechnical factors impact people’s perceptions of reuse of their personal data. Sarah recently defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of British Columbia’s iSchool and earned her master’s degree in Library and Information Science at Dalhousie University in Canada.
