Tom Brinck has led small to large multi-disciplinary design and innovation teams, working on consumer electronics, telecommunications, and web design in a variety of verticals. He led a UX design agency for 10 years, championed accessibility at his RetroAccess startup, created search and advertising UX at Amazon (A9.com), ran a UX Innovations lab at Samsung, and led UX at Broadsoft, and then led Calling UX teams at Cisco after they acquired Broadsoft. He did early work in videoconferencing and groupware at Bellcore and in grad school, where he did user research on collaborative whiteboards. Tom taught graduate UX courses at the University of Michigan and Academy of Art University, co-authored the book Usability for the Web, and is on the Board of the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation.
