BIO

With more than twenty years of experience as a law librarian, Laura Moorer has built a career specializing in legal research in the District of Columbia. She served as the solo law librarian for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, supporting attorneys with comprehensive criminal, appellate, and policy research. She now works as the solo law librarian for the DC Court of Appeals, providing expert research services and training in D.C. legal and legislative history. An active member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and the current President of the Northern California Association of Law Libraries (NOCALL), she is committed to professional development, mentorship, and advancing access to legal information.
