Washingtonian writer Nancy Scola and research editor Damare Baker compiled a list of DC’s most influential players in technology. The list of 219 tech titans includes the likes of DOJ antitrust chief Jonathan Kanter, Salesforce VP for government affairs and policy Hugh Gamble, and General Dynamics Information Technology president Amy Gilliland. Scola and Baker organize their list into six categories: The Starters, Official DC, Money Folks, Policy People, Big Business, and Cyber World.
Nate Tibbits is featured in the Policy People section. Tibbits, an advisory board member for the University of Maryland College of Information (INFO), is the Senior Vice President, Global Government Affairs and Corporate Responsibility for Qualcomm. Scola and Baker say, “Tibbits, who worked at the White House’s National Security Council earlier in his career, has spent the past ten years handling the semiconductor company’s government affairs—including navigating devastating chip shortages.”
