Kick off your Scholars journey by giving back! Service Day is a 25+ year tradition where all first-year Scholars join their program for a day of community service. It’s a chance to meet your peers, connect with faculty, and make an impact—like Data Justice students who’ll help care for local parks in MoCo and PG County.
🔹 Start the day at Yahentimitsi Dining Hall

Resident students: Arrive by 7:00 a.m. for breakfast and grab your lunch to go

Commuters: Pick up a meal ticket at Cumberland Hall check-in, then head to Yahentimitsi
🔹 What to Bring

Your Scholars t-shirt and clothes that can get dirty
-
Closed-toe shoes (no sandals or Crocs)

Water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, any needed meds

A backpack to carry lunch and supplies

Face mask (if required by your site)
