Annual INFO Alumni Awards Celebration at the College Park Aviation Museum
Description:
The INFO College is proud to recognize our outstanding alumni! Annually, the college awards a Distinguished Terrapin award to a distinguished graduate student alum who has made significant contributions to their field, has transformed lives through information and technology, and has been a role model of the INFO College. This year, we are thrilled to announce a new undergrad award—the Rising Terp Award—which will be awarded for the first time at this special event.
This year’s event will be at the College Park Aviation Museum. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, hard and soft drinks, and mingle with staff, faculty, leadership, alumni, and of course our winners. With a backdrop of the historic runway of the oldest continuously operating airport in the world, the gallery will make a wonderful setting for this joyous occasion.
We were not able to hold this event last year, so this year we will be honoring two Distinguished Terrapins. Join us in celebrating this year’s honorees!
Rising Terp Award Recipient (Undergraduate):
- 2023: Gabriel Cruz, InfoSci ’18, MIM ’21
Engineering Manager, PARA Business Systems; Adjunct Lecturer INFO College
Distinguished Terrapin Award Recipients (Graduate):
- 2023: Wilda Logan, MLS ’78
Supervisory Archives Specialist at National Archives and Records Administration
- 2022: Denise Davis, MLS ’75
