To establish a collaboration between the University of Maryland College of Information Studies (iSchool) and the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Library (NAL) that capitalizes on the iSchool’s Digital Curation program in order to help develop a robust data curation infrastructure that safeguards agricultural information and promote their continued discovery and re-use through the utilization of NAL’s extensive collections, digital resources, and staff expertise.
