iSchool Celebrates 2015 Commencement

The University of Maryland's College of Information Studies, Maryland's iSchool, will be celebrating its annual commencement in a ceremony to be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at noon. The ceremony will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland. It is open to members of the iSchool community and their invited guests only.

The ceremony will recognize approximately 140 December 2014 and May 2015 graduates in the Master of Library Science, Master of Information Management, Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction and doctoral programs. This year's commencement speaker is Dr. Elizabeth Churchill, Director of User Experience at Google, and this year's student speaker is doctoral graduate Ursula Gorham. The iSchool will also recognize the winners of its annual awards competition during the ceremony.

This class of graduates has a remarkable record of accomplishment, producing a Boren Scholar, a Google Policy Fellow, a National Digital Stewardship Resident and two National Library of Medicine Associate Fellows.
