iSchool Celebrates 2014 Commencement

The College of Information Studies of the University of Maryland, Maryland's iSchool, celebrates its annual commencement on Friday, May 23, 2014, in a ceremony to take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland campus. The iSchool will recognize August and December 2013 and May 2014 graduates of the PhD in Information Studies, Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction, Master of Information Management, and Master of Library Science programs.

Special guest Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project, will address the graduates. In addition, the graduates will be welcomed to the iSchool chapter of the University of Maryland Alumni Association by chapter vice president and president-elect, J. Linda Williams.

In addition, the College will recognize the six students who are the winners of the iSchool's annual awards competition, including the first-ever winner of the Simmona Simmons Best Student Paper on Diversity Award.

Tickets are not required to attend the ceremony, but it is open to graduates and their guests and members of the iSchool community only.
