InfoSci Upper Level Major Electives Proposal
In order to complete the Information Science major, students are required to complete 15 credits of upper level major electives (300-400 level). InfoSci students may submit a UMD course to be evaluated towards InfoSci major elective credits and must take the course after declaring InfoSci as their major. Submitting a request is not a guarantee that the course will be approved to count towards this requirement. Approval by the InfoSci program is required prior to registering for the course. A decision will usually be rendered between 3-5 days after submission (some proposals could take longer to review). Please note that it is the responsibility of the student to check Testudo for restrictions, prerequisites, and co-requisites.
*A non-INST course may be rejected as an InfoSci major elective for the proposing student on the basis that the course is restricted in a way that would normally exclude the proposing student from enrolling.
