Dr. Mark Boons is an adjunct assistant professor in the iSchool at the University of Maryland and an assistant professor in Business Information Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in the Netherlands. In his research he focuses on understanding how members of ‘online crowds’ experience being active on online platforms. He is currently working on several research projects on crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, and the sharing economy.
