Sydney Triola

I am an instructor, researcher, and Ph.D. Student who is enthusiastic about using my role to leverage greater equity within the structures that I live and work in. In my research, I am interested in mass incarceration, the spread of disinformation about marginalized populations, unwarranted & hyper-surveillance, corruption of police data, and the school to prison pipeline. I am also an experienced and enthusiastic instructor. Some of my favorite aspects of teaching include: collaborating with other instructors, incorporating diverse perspectives into curriculum/ instruction, and implementing student-centered activities.
