While earning her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Strategic Communications from West Virginia University (WVU), Hayleigh minored in computer science which led to an interest in the development of innovative user experiences and the impact thoughtful prose has on those experiences. After graduating from WVU in 2018, she interned with the international communications at the Consumer Technology Association, producer of the largest consumer tech tradeshow – CES. Shortly after the start of this internship, she joined the Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction (HCIM) program at the UMD iSchool. She began working as a Graduate Assistant for the iSchool communications team after the conclusion of her CTA internship writing for the college’s News page.
