Students at the UMD iSchool can choose from several academic paths in information risk, security and privacy, and cyber threat intelligence.
Master of Information Management (MIM)
Cyber Threat Intelligence Focus Area
Students learn to analyze cyber attack data, conduct cyber risk assessment, and identify cyber vulnerabilities, and implement cyber threat investigations.
Master of Information Management (MIM)
Information Risk Management Focus Area
Students learn to assess organizations’ data risks and threats, incorporate regulation, and develop and deploy corporate information governance programs.
Certificate in Information Risk, Privacy,
and Security (CIRPS)
Designed for working information professionals, participants will learn advanced skills in mitigating risks around sensitive information, such as data breaches.

MIM human-centered cybersecurity skills and perspectives helped to prepare Aderonke for her role directing risk management and security audit and compliance efforts across the house.
