Melekte Truneh is currently the Assistant Dean, Finance and Administration for the College of Information Studies (iSchool) at the University of Maryland, College Park.  Her responsibilities include oversight of activities for budget preparation and control, contracts and grants administration, compliance with University, State and federal regulations, ethical stewardship of funds, planning to assure responsible fiscal management, leadership of College HR, and other administrative functions. Prior to her position in the iSchool, she was the Director of Financial Services for the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at UMD. Melekte received her B.A. degree in Psychology from San Diego State University, her MBA from National University, and an Education Specialist degree in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University. Melekte is also currently enrolled in the Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) at University of Baltimore.
