Lovely is a PhD student at the UMD iSchool, with a background in information security consulting and community technology. Her research intersects ethics & values in design, HCI, information security, and technology adoption in urban and rural spaces. She holds an MS in Information Management (UW iSchool), and a BA in English with a minor in History from the University of Washington.
