On Wednesday, February 20, 2008, the University of Maryland, College of Information Studies held its first ever Research Review Day. Aided with project posters and a Speakers' Corner inspired by Hyde Park in London, the students and faculty of the iSchool presented many of their current research projects.
The day concluded with the grand opening of the iSchool's new state of the art research facility located on the second floor of Hornbake's South Wing. The Center for Advanced Study of Communities and Information (CASCI), The Center for Information Policy and E-Government (CIPEG), and The Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) are all housed in this new facility.
With so many members of the university and the greater information studies community in attendance, Research Review Day 2008 was truly a grand opening for the new iSchool research facility. Experience it for yourself!
