The focus of the MIM program is on ways information and technology can be best organized, implemented and managed to meet the needs of end users in a variety of business, legal, nonprofit, government and institutional settings, which are affected by changes in the global environment every day.

  • The Information User is anyone who creates, needs, or uses information.
  • The Content is the information itself.
  • The Technology is the media and equipment used to access, process, analyze, pass along the information
  • The Organization is a structured group of people who have procedures for working together towards a common interest and who use information for decision-making
  • The Environment is the social regulatory and cultural space where the organization moves to accomplish its mission
