iSchool Master of Library Science student, Michael Kardos,  was awarded a North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) Student Conference Grant to attend the 2009 Annual Conference being held in Asheville, North Carolina, June 4-7, 2009.

Established in 1985, NASIG is an independent, international organization committed to promoting communication and sharing of ideas among all people working with or concerned about serial publications.

The award includes expenses for travel within North America, registration, and three nights lodging. Each recipient will also receive a year's free membership in NASIG. Mr. Kardos will submit a report at the conclusion of the conference. The report will be featured in the NASIG newsletter.
