Incoming MLS Student Stacy Kitsis Awarded
(College Park, MD, 8/12/09) Maryland’s iSchool is pleased to announce the very first scholarship winner has been selected for the newest American Library Association (ALA) scholarship, the Peter Lyman Memorial/SAGE Scholarship in New Media.
Stacy Kitsis, an incoming Master of Library Science, has been selected to receive the scholarship in memory of Peter Lyman, the former university librarian and professor emeritus of the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley. Professor Lyman was nationally known for his landmark study on information overload, "How Much Information?" co-authored with Hal Valerian.
