Maryland’s iSchool is pleased to announce The Library and Information Technology Association (LITA), a division of the American Library Association, has announced the winner of the LITA/ Christian Larew Memorial Scholarship. The 2009 winner is Nicholas Taylor, a Master of Library Science student in the iSchool.
This scholarship is for master’s level study, with an emphasis on library technology and/or automation, at a library school accredited by the American Library Association.
Criteria for the scholarships include previous academic excellence, evidence of leadership potential and a commitment to a career in library automation and information technology.
The Scholarship winners will be honored at the LITA Awards Ceremony, which will be held from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 in the Empire Ballroom at the Intercontinental Hotel, Chicago, Illinois.
