After a rich career with the iSchool, Dr. Dagobert Soergel has accepted the position of professor and chair of the Department of Library and Information Studies, Graduate School of Education, University of Buffalo, starting this fall.

During the fall semester, Dr. Soergel will divide his time between Maryland’s iSchool and the University of Buffalo.  At the end of the fall semester, he will retire from Maryland and begin his full-time career in Buffalo.

According to Dean Jennifer Preece, “This is a wonderful accolade for Dr. Soergel who has an already prestigious career”.

The students, faculty, staff, and alumni are grateful for Dr. Soergel’s dedication and service to the iSchool.
