Grand Opening of iSchool New Research Facility

Maryland's iSchool belongs to a national consortium of iSchools, which are interested in the relationship between information, technology, and people and committed to learning and understanding the role of information in human endeavors. The iSchools believe that expertise in all forms of information is required for progress in science, business, education, and culture andmust include understanding of the uses and users of information, as well as information technologies and their applications. The grand opening will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. in Hornbake Library, South Wing, second floor. Students and faculty will present their research in the form of talks and posters beginning at 2 p.m. Provost Nariman Farvardin and iSchool dean Jennifer Preece will welcome guests and preside over the ribbon cutting ceremony.
