- Sixty dollars ($60) check or money order made out to the University of Maryland .
- One official copy of your transcript from each academic institution attended sent directly from the institution.
- Maryland In-State Status form (if applicable).
- Copy of immunization records.

- Please note: the College does not accept or require copies of the essays asked for in the Graduate School application; you do not need to submit any essays at all to The Graduate School .
- Current resume.
- If required, official scores on the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). These must be sent directly to the College of Information Studies from the Educational Testing Service, Box 6000 , Princeton , NJ 08540-6000 . The University of Maryland 's institution code is 5814 and the College of Information Studies ' department code is 4701.
HiLS Applicants, please note: You must submit TWO complete sets of required documents, one to Information Studies and one to the History department, in addition to the documents sent to the Graduate School Admissions Office (a total of three sets). The address for the History department is:

Follow-up
The Student Services Office will make every effort to notify applicants of their status, in writing, within seven (7) weeks after receipt of the Graduate School application. However, applicants are ultimately responsible for the timely completion of their files.
